Brinkley Mining was informed yesterday that, as of 15 December 2008, African Global Capital GP I, Limited through Signet Mining Services Limited and Vidacos Nominees Limited held the total voting rights attaching to 90,500,000 ordinary shares representing 25.40% of the total voting rights in the Company. Brinkley Mining was further informed that the transaction that necessitated the disclosure was the result of the unwinding of a CFD position (a sale of the CFD and purchase of a corresponding equity position). The resulting economic exposure of African Global Capital GP 1, Limited to Brinkley Mining remains unaltered. African Global Capital GP 1, Limited is the General Partner of African Global Capital I, L.P. a Cayman Islands exempted limited partnership.
