Brinkley Mining was informed yesterday that, as of 25 November 2008, African Global Capital GP I, Limited through Signet Mining Services Limited and Vidacos Nominees Limited held the total voting rights attaching to 23,000,000 ordinary shares representing 6.45% of the total voting rights in the Company. Brinkley Mining was further informed that the transaction that necessitated the disclosure was the result of the unwinding of a CFD position (a sale of the CFD and purchase of a corresponding equity position) at the instigation of the CFD counterparty. The resulting economic exposure of African Global Capital GP 1, Limited and Signet Mining Services Limited to Brinkley Mining remains unaltered.
