Board Changes


The Board of Brinkley Mining is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Fresson as Finance Director of the Company with immediate effect. As announced on 20 May 2008, Donald Strang has ceased to be a director of the Company with effect from today and the Board would like to thank Don for his contribution to the Company over the last two years.

Mark Fresson is a chartered accountant, having qualified with Touche Ross in 1989. He spent ten years in various tax-related roles before joining Nomura’s principal finance group in 2000 as head of tax and accounting. Mark formed part of the team that left Nomura to establish the Terra Firma Capital Partners private equity operation in 2002, where he ultimately held the position of senior tax and structuring counsel. Over the past six years, Mark has been a Director of several privately-owned companies.

The former directorships marked with an asterix (*) in the table above were established as potential acquisition vehicles and have subsequently been dissolved. In each instance, under relevant regulations, no administrator, receiver or liquidator was required to be appointed and therefore no report has been issued in respect of them.

Mr Fresson was appointed liquidator of Hercules Holdings (Cayman) Limited on 16 July 2003; he was a director of such company at the time, which was liquidated on 22 October 2003 without a deficit to creditors.

Mark Fresson has no shareholding in the Company. Mark Fresson has been awarded the following options which vest immediately and have a term of 5 years to subscribe for new ordinary shares of 0.15p each in the capital of the Company:
