Significant Shareholding

The Company was informed today that as a result of recent share purchases, Lonrho Africa (Holdings) Limited now hold 27,883,000 ordinary shares of 0.15p in the Company representing 9.15% of the Company's issued share capital. In addition the Company was also advised today that as a result of share disposals between 7 July 2006 and 12 September 2006, Sprott Asset Management Inc currently holds 9,088,500 common shares in the capital of Brinkley Mining, representing 2.98% of the Company's issued share capital.
