Resource Survey Commissioned

Commissions Ultra High-Resolution Airborne Magnetic and Radiometric Geophysical Survey over 836.2 square kilometres of the Karoo Region in South Africa Brinkley Mining Plc (AIM: BRM), announces that it has engaged Fugro Airborne Surveys ("Fugro") to execute an ultra high-resolution airborne magnetic and radiometric geophysical survey over the five farms (Damsfontien, Bloemfontein, Rietkuil, Flagfontein and Waterval), located near Beaufort West in the Karoo Region of South Africa, which are the subject of applications for Prospecting Rights by the Company's 74% owned subsidiary Western Uranium (Pty) Ltd ("Western Uranium").
The MIDAS II helicopter borne survey system will be used to fly 9,447 line kilometres over a total survey area of 836.2 square kilometres covering the Damsfontien-Bloemfontein, Rietkuil, Flagfontein and Waterval farms.
Independent consultants GAP Geophysics ("GAP") based in Johannesburg have been retained to provide Quality Assurance control on data acquisition and processing by Fugro. In conjunction with the existing consultant SRK Consulting ("SRK"), GAP will undertake the geophysical interpretation of the airborne survey which will provide Brinkley with a better understanding of the geology and mineralisation of the Karoo region, which will assist to identify and prioritise drilling targets.
Results of this work programme are expected to be available in the fourth quarter of 2006.
Fugro operates around the world with approximately 8,500 staff permanently stationed in over 50 countries. Fugro is an accredited contractor to BHP Billiton, WMC and various oil and gas companies.
